The staff at Billings Animal Family Hospital could not be more pleased to introduce you to Dr. Sarah Bruggeman, DVM.
That’s right, Doctor Sarah Bruggeman!
For many of you, Dr. Sarah’s face is a familiar one, as she has been a part of the BAFH family off and on since 2001. This amazing woman (and Billings native) began with us 13 years ago as a receptionist and kennel attendant, and has been with us ever since (when time would allow) as she completed her education and, eventually, her degree in veterinary medicine.
Dr. Sarah graduated from Billings Senior High School in 2002. From there, she went on to earn her B.A. in Zoology from the University of Montana in 2006. After her stint as a Grizzly, Dr. Sarah studied at the University College in Dublin for a 5-year AVMA-accredited program in veterinary medicine. She earned her degree in 2011.
Dr. Sarah has a keen interest in exotic and zoological medicine. She was a volunteer, intern, and zoo keeper at Zoo Montana from 1998–2007 during her school breaks, and worked exotic animal externships in Ireland and for the Santa Barbara Zoo while in veterinary school.
We are thrilled welcome Dr. Sarah to our team, and are excited to integrate her knowledge of exotic and wild animals into our practice. Her experience with small mammals and reptiles will be an asset to the veterinary services BFAH provides.
If you have a pet that is destined to be the perfect patient for Dr. Sarah, please don’t hesitate to give us a call to schedule an appointment.
